Mary Kom and Shoojit SircarFilmmaker Shoojit Sircar has packed a life story -- currently being shot for the big screen with Priyanka Chopra -- in a mere three minutes.

In an ad for Tata Salt that he shot over three days last week, Sircar got boxing champion Mary Kom to tell her story on camera.

"It was a remarkably inspiring three-day shoot. We encapsulated every phase of her life -- from her childhood struggle for a decent life to her hardworking teens and her current glory as a boxing champ and a home-maker, we got all of this into the the script in just a three-minute film," says an excited Sircar.

Narrating such an extraordinary story in three minutes sure mist have been a tough task.

"I wanted the ad to be an inspirational saga told in just a few minutes. I didn't want her to come across as a model selling a product but a responsible citizen selling an idea to the millions who look up to her. I had never expected her to be so camera-friendly," the filmmaker reveals.

The boxer, whose rise from poverty to being a global sports icon is now being made into a film starring Priyanka Chopra, was a 'natural' before the camera.

"It was such a pleasure shooting with Mary Kom. She was fully there with me, collaborating and participating like a true member of the crew," Sircar signs off.
