Chris RockSo did he nail it?

Chris Rock's opening monologue at the 88th Annual Academy Awards has gone viral on social media.

This is Rock's second time at hosting the Oscars after 2005, and he seemed quite seasoned. He took on the topic of diversity, and did a pretty good job with it.

The 51-year-old actor called the Academy Awards the White People's Choice Awards and went on to say that there should be categories for black people.

He also stated that Hollywood was indeed racist.

And while making his point, Rock made sure to keep the laughs coming on.

'I thought about quitting. I thought about it real hard. But I realised they’re gonna have the Oscars anyway. They’re not gonna cancel the Oscars because I quit. You know? And the last thing I need is to lose another job to Kevin Hart.'

He also 'starred' in some of the nominated movie trailers.

Hollywood celebs like Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Stephen King loved his act, but we're asking YOU.

What did you think of Chris Rock's hosting job? VOTE!
