Jayaprada is doing films for Mahesh Manjrekar, Gulzar and Sahara Television.

She keeps up the suspense and is silent about her roles. "There is a variation in the roles and none of the characters are conventional or a cliché. Wait and see," is all you can get out of her.

As for the Telugu remake of Satta, which she bought from director Madhur Bhandarkar, she says, "I am not worried that Satta did not do well in its Hindi version. The Telugu version will set the cash registers ringing. Women-oriented films are do very well down south. Wherever we find it necessary we will make changes in the script."
