'My exit from Bigg Boss wasn't justified'

Sana Khan and Sayantani Ghosh in Bigg Boss 6Television actress Sayantani Ghosh is the third celebrity housemate to be evicted from this season of Bigg Boss.

The 25-year-old actress says she wasn't prepared to be out of the reality show so soon.

"Three weeks is a very short time but I think I got noticed. Overall I had a great experience," she says. "The show is a good platform and this season no major controversy has cropped up so far."

Controversy keeps the show going and Sayantani says it is unavoidable. "There are loads of limitations in the house. No one wants to fight but conditions happen such that you are mentally stressed. We are from home, without many luxuries. Actually, I can't call pickle or coffee a luxury, but that's how one has to adjust in the Bigg Boss house." She continues, "Initially I was sceptical; I agreed to be part of this show because they said it's going to be parivarik (meant for family audiences)."

She cried when she was told to leave the house because, she says, "I felt that my exit wasn't justified. Plus, I was worried as my dad wasn't well. I would like to return to the house as a wild card contestant."

She seems aggrieved that though she worked hard inside the house and did the tasks to the best of her ability and wasn't into fights or politics, she was still voted out.

"This time, it wasn't the regular way of nomination. I believe that is the reason why I was voted out. I gelled well with the other contestants. Even if the housemates were to choose two people who were to be saved, I believe that I would have been among them. There were people who weren't working hard in the house but they stayed on."

Sayantani didn't know her housemates from before but says she got on well with them. "My favourite contestant is Vrajesh Hirejee as he is a real person, cracks jokes, and is not afraid to speak his mind," she says.

And who has the best chance of winning? "Aashka Goradia," she replies, explaining, "She is playing the game smartly; I say this in the right spirit. One thing I found little funny about her is that behind my back she said Bengalis cannot be trusted and on the other hand, she says her best friend is a Bengali."

What does she think of Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has refused to nominate contestants for eviction as he felt it would be like insulting them, and sometimes compromised on the rules of the show?

"Sidhuji has his own views and principles and all of us respect him a lot for that. He has brought a lot of positivity in the house, but he needs to understand the rules of the game, as the end result is not always good."

Sayantani says, "We don't nominate anyone (for expulsion) because we have any personal grudge against that particular person, but because those are the rules of the game and we need to follow them.

"I chose names that I felt didn't fit in the house well, rather than having any personal grudge against anybody. If Sidhuji had any issues regarding the rules of the game, he should have sorted them out before entering the house."

Sayantani has acted in TV serials Kumkum, Naaginn and Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein.
