The Lalisom controversy continues.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Sports Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan went to Mohanlal’s home in Kochi last week in an attempt to appease the superstar and persuade him to take back the money he had returned for the Lalisom fiasco.

But Mohanlal refused to take back the money.

He was reportedly annoyed that the blame for the National Games inaugural ceremony fiasco was conveniently put on his shoulders.

The government has now asked him to suggest how the money should be used.

Lalisom is a music band formed by Mohanlal. It performed its maiden show at the inaugural ceremony of the ongoing National Games at Thiruvananthapuram.

The show turned out to be a disappointment and there was a huge uproar against it in the social media, especially since the band was paid around Rs 1.64 crore.

After much debate and protest, Mohanlal sent a cheque to the government returning the money the band had received. But the chief minister’s attempt to mend fences by returning the money has not gone down well with the actor.
