Mithun Chakraborty is all set to team up with veteran British actor Sir Michael Caine on an upcoming film, says a Times of India report.

The Bengali-English film is called Indian Autumn, and will be directed by filmmaker Sudipto Sen, who made waves in 2006 with The Last Monk, which he wrote and directed.

Speaking to TOI, Sen reportedly confirmed that Mithun and Caine will share the screen. He also confirmed that there will be other Indian and Hollywood actors involved, including Bengali actress Moushumi Chatterjee and actor Soumitra Chatterjee. The Hollywood cast is reportedly being finalised.

The film follows the protagonist, a man from Bengal (played by Mithun), who goes to the US.

Caine, a 77-year-old British actor who has appeared in over 100 films in a career spanning nearly five decades, was recently seen in popular Hollywood blockbuster Inception, in which he played an enlightened professor.

Shooting for Indian Autumn begins in March in Los Angeles, the report adds.
