Masaba Gupta gets engaged to Madhu Mantena

Film producer Madhu Mantena's engagement to designer Masaba Gupta (in the picture) on Tuesday evening, at Mumbai's posh J W Marriott hotel, was a starry affair.

"Aamir Khan and Shahid Kapoor, two of Madhu’s closest friends in the film industry, were among the first to arrive and among the last guests to leave. They just let themselves go and had a ball till the wee hours," says a source.

Mantena knows them well, as he had produced Aamir's Ghajini and Shahid's Mausam.

The other guests included Karan Johar, Raveena Tandon, Preity Zinta, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.

The ‘Phantom gang' (the production company co-owned by Mantena, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap) was also present.

Telugu film producer Allu Arvind was also present to bless the couple.

Masaba's parents -- Neena Gupta and Sir Vivian Richards -- gave stirring messages at the engagement. Richards was not physically present but sent his speech through an AV.

“Everyone partied till 5 am!" says the source.
