Last updated on: March 07, 2016 09:53 IST

The latest updates from the Malayalam film industry.

The recently released first look poster of Mammootty’s forthcoming film White has the handsome hero romancing Huma Qureshi.

The film, which was shot extensively in London, will hit the screens later this month.

But the poster has created buzz for an interesting reason.

Not too long ago, the first look of Dulquer Salmaan’s Kammattippaadam was also launched wherein the young hero is seen sporting a salt and pepper look.

And guess what, the social media is now busy comparing their looks and debating who’s looking younger - father or the son?

Prithviraj to go ahead with Karnan

The recently announced Kerala State Film Awards had sparked off a war of words between music director Ramesh Narayan and Ennu Ninte Moideen director R S Vimal.

The issue started when the composer alleged that the film’s hero Prithviraj wanted to remove his award winning song Saradambaram from the film.

Soon there were rumours doing the rounds that Prithviraj was unhappy that his name got embroiled in the controversy without any reason.

Many doubted whether this could result in Karnan, the magnum opus announced by Vimal with Prithviraj in the lead, landing in trouble.

But Vimal has laid all the speculations to rest by sharing a picture of himself and Prithviraj happily chatting at the hero’s home.

Is this supposed to be the hero’s way of announcing that Karnan is still on?

Well, we would like to believe so.
