Acting, it is said, comes naturally. But the question is, how does one go about it?
Acting trainer Kishore Namit Kapoor knows all the answers. His new book, which claims to be the 'first authentic book on acting in English and Hindi' promises to polish those rough edges and guide an aspirant to achieve his goal of becoming an actor.
Kapoor's student and Koi Mil Gaya sensation Hrithik Roshan released the book called, For The Actor - You Are the Instrument, You Are the Player, at Mumbai's The Classique Club.
Teacher of stars like Roshan Jr, Vivek Oberoi, Akshaye Khanna, Kareena Kapoor and Mahima Chaudhry, Kapoor is a Film and Television Institute of India graduate from Pune. He says, "It's not a book. It's my mission statement. I wanted to share my learning's with hundreds and thousands of aspiring actors. Many actors have dreams but no guidance. This book will prove beneficial to such aspirants."

Although the star of Company, Saathiya and Road wasn't present at the launch, a pre-recorded video message had the eloquent actor share his thoughts. Excerpts: "I am extremely delighted that my guru Shri Kishore Namit Kapoor, who has imparted so much knowledge to me about the craft of acting. I am so glad to organise these jewels into, what I am sure, will be a fantastic book. A Bible or a Bhagavad Gita for us actors with Shri Krishna or Kishoreji himself guiding us will have this book to follow. Basically, all of us have dreams. Someone wants to be a doctor. Someone wants to be an engineer. Someone wants to be an architect. Everyone has a manual, guideline or structure that they study through to realise your dream. So many people come to Mumbai every day wanting to be an actor. Not for the lack of talent or will, but for the lack of consistency and guidance. This book can be that guide even for us actors to do a refresher course."
