Replacing Ash in this hyped period drama co-starring Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and British actor Toby Stephens, has turned Amisha the cynosure of all eyes. The actress is reportedly demanding a whopping Rs 1 crore (Rs 10 million) as remuneration.
The Risingis not Amisha's first attempt at a period film. She played a Muslim girl, Sakina, in Anil Sharma's superhit Partition drama Gadar - Ek Prem Katha.
Besides The Rising, Amisha's forthcoming releases include Zameer (Ajay Devgan, Mahima Chaudhary), Mere Jeevan Saathi (Akshay Kumar, Karisma Kapoor) and Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai (Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal).
