Michael Jackson doesn't seem too far from controversy these days.
People magazine reports his former wife Lisa Marie Presley has spoken about her marriage with the former king of pop for the first time in a rare television interview.
Presley, who is in Australia promoting her singing career, alleged Jackson had manipulated her during their marriage, which lasted almost two years (1994 to 1996).
According to the interview aired on the Enough Ropes show, Presley was quoted as saying, 'I saw things I couldn't do anything about.'
Presley, whose father was the legendary Elvis Presley, refused to elaborate.
Since it all happened nine years ago, she could not recollect that phase properly, she added.
Lisa Marie admits she felt 'powerless' when she realised she was part of a 'machine.'
She also revealed it was MJ's public relations idea that he should kiss her on screen during the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards.
At the end of the interview, she dubbed her former husband a 'mystery.'
The 45-year-old Jackson is currently on $3 million bail on charges of allegedly performing vulgar acts on a child under 14.
