Farah Khan Ali: I blame the government, not street-dwellers
C
elebrity jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali and singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya upset many people with their bizarre tweets following Salman Khan's sentencing.

Explaining her views, Farah Khan Ali wrote: 'It's saddening to see how my tweets are being used in conjunction with singer Abhijeets tweets to give it a completely diff meaning by media. For d record I never meant to mock d poor and if any of u read my tweets carefully I have not mocked the homeless.

'I blamed the govt not them. My tweet may sound insensitive 2 u all with ref to pavement dwellers &I did not mean it that way so im sorry if it came out in anothr manner.

'My concern is that pavement dwellers will always be at risk from drunk drivers be it Allister pereira, Salman Khan, Sanjeev Nanda etc.'

'The Law is penalising drunk drivers What is d law doing 4 pavement dwellers to prevent more deaths? Don't they need defined places to sleep. As a citizen who pays my taxes regularly I do want d common man 2have basic necessities that he can't afford & d govt has 2 provide that.

'To all out here who are mocking me 2know if I do charity,I dont owe you an answer.Let me just say my faiths 1st & foremost tenant is charity. My intentions are clean &as long as God knows that I never said anything to mock poor homeless ppl that's all that matters. I rest my case,' she added.

But Rishi Kapoor slammed them and wrote: 'Ashamed of Abhijit the singer and some Ejaz Khan. Bunch of idiots and non starters. How does Times Now get these losers on Prime Time.

'Sorry to say but only wannabe Chamchas of Salman siding him with ridiculous support.Hum bhi well wishers hain  but give logical explanations. Unemployed wannabe unemployed actors Feroz Ahjaaz Dalip Naseer Abdullha are not spokespersons of films. Kaash Ek din dictator hota would have cut the balls of Abhijeet and Ehjaaz. How dare you Question the Law of the country you live.'

Sonakshi Sinha added: 'I support my friend but i would never support such insensitive and negative talk. Please dont tag me in ur tweets @abhijeetsinger sir.'
