After Gaja Gamini, painter-turned-director M F Husain is ready with this next film, Meenaxi: Tale Of 3 Cities.

Instead of his favourite muse Madhuri Dixit who featured in his first film, Husain has cast Tabu in his second feature film.

Meenaxi is about a popular novelist Nawab (Raghubir Yadav), who has been suffering

from a severe writer's block for five years. He meets Meenaxi (Tabu), who slowly weilds command over him. Her different faces are a source of inspiration for the writer. But she dismisses his writing as insubstantial, causing him to withdraw further into depression.

The film is a collaborative effort between Husain and his painter son Owais Husain.

Husain's third film will star Urmila Matondkar and will be a comedy.
