Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, who has directed North 24 Kaatham and Sapthamasree Taskaraha, is back with an adventure drama with a quirky title.

He is a nature enthusiast, who loves leading the life of an ultimate survivor in the wild. He has taken up the mantle to save Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi and to protect it from the industrialists.

His team includes a retired civil servant CKAK Menon (Nedumudi Venu), a gun tester named Madhumita R Krishnan (Reenu Mathews), a street smart magician named Bheeran (Sunny Wayne), a chemical engineer called Ananthakrishnan Iyer (Jacob Gregory), a Zoology professor called Neelakantan (Chemban Vinod), an adventure enthusiast named Shanmughan Ilangovan (Bharath) and Malavedan (Sudheer Karamana), for whom the forest is his second home.

Amar Akbar Anthony

Jayasurya, Prithviraj, Indrajit in Amar Akbar Anthony

Director: Nadir Shah
Cast: Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Indrajith

Nadir Shah, who is best known for his parody songs, makes his debut as a director with Amar Akbar Anthony.

"This is a humour based film. Quite strangely, we have always seen Kochi as a place of goondas and gangs, in our films. But this one is in a totally different mood. In the story, Amar (Prithviraj) is employed in a mall, Akbar (Jayasurya) is a lift operator in a hospital and Anthony (Indrajith) works as a pizza delivery guy. Namita Pramod is the heroine named Jeni, a cinematic dancer," he says.

"I have not been involved in such a humorous film for sometime now. The chemistry that we share off the screen has helped a lot in the making of this movie," says Prithviraj.

Amar Akbar Anthony is produced by United Global Media Entertainment and Ananya Films. Sujith Vaassudev cranks the camera. Nadir Shah is the music director.
