KBC finale: When Vidya Balan impressed Amitabh Bachchan

Last updated on: November 08, 2017 13:01 IST

A lot of laughs, a lot of tears and, of course, a lot of questions end Kaun Banega Crorepati 9.

The ninth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati came to a grand end on November 7.

The finale featured Vidya Balan and Yuvraj Singh on the hot seat.

It included a recap of some of the season's memorable players and moments.

An emotional Yuvraj spoke about his battle with cancer. His eyes glistened as he spoke about his journey from diagnosis to recovery.

The cricketer was diagnosed with a malignant tumour in his lungs in 2011 and underwent treatment in Boston.

Yuvraj has started an organisation called YouWeCan to support cancer patients and spread awareness about the disease.

Vidya and Yuvraj played the KBC game and won Rs 25 lakh for this foundation.

Yet, the show wasn't all about tears.

Yuvraj and Vidya shared some laughs too as they played the game. Vidya impressed everyone, even Big B, with her superb general knowledge.

She also introduced Bachchan to some hilarious KBC memes.

Of course, Bachchan's response was epic, as always: 'Iska naam meme hai? Bahut khatarnak hai yeh! (Is this a meme? It's quite dangerous!)'

Bachchan credited KBC's success to the team behind it: 'KBC draws to an end... And the signs of its finishing become abundant... This most complicated game show would never be the same if it were not for the dedicated and most constructive team of almost 450 personnel, working tirelessly round the clock in the varied and various departments of the show... Thank you dear KBC team for your patience and your efficiency... Your detailing and the intelligent outputs in its programming.'

The Euphony band performed.

The audience comprised contestants from this season and well as the aam janta. And everyone was spellbound by the host.

Now, we're eagerly waiting for the next season.
