Tamil film Kaakka Muttai has been receiving several accolades. The film won two National Awards - Best children’s film and Best child actors (Ramesh Thilaganathan and J Vignesh). It also received a standing ovation at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival and the Dubai International Film Festival.

The film which released last week in India has got rave reviews and has won the hearts of the people.

The film is presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Dhanush and National Award-winning director Vetri Maaran. It is directed by Manikandan.

A quirky comedy, Kaakka Muttai narrates the story of two street kids who wish to eat a pizza. Realising that one pizza costs more than their family’s monthly income, they plan ways to earn more money, inadvertently setting in motion an adventure that will involve the entire city.

The latest on the long list of people who have been bowled over by this simple film is director Karan Johar.

He tweeted, ‘Kaakka Muttai is a gem of a film! Genuinely moved by it..Small film.. with a huge heart! Congrats @foxstarhindi @dhanushkraja’.
