The probe into the mysterious death of Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani has revealed some shocking facts.

The 45-year-old actor, who made his presence felt in various south Indian languages, died on March 6. Initially, the reasons cited were liver and kidney ailments. But now, police is investigating the chances of foul play due to the presence of pesticides and drugs in his body.

Mani’s brother RLV Ramakrishnan wants the police to investigate the role of the actor’s friends who were present at 'padi', where he was staying.

Reportedly, the actor and his friends had a couple of drinks on March 4, after which he fell seriously ill and was hospitalised. Mani was already suffering from liver cirrhosis and had strict instructions not to consume alcohol.

The police have taken a few of Mani’s aides into custody. Actors Jaffer Idukki and Sabumon have already been questioned.

According to the latest reports, Mani was undergoing severe stress and was living away from his family. The police have also been reportedly investigating the bank accounts of Mani’s friends to see if any money was involved. Mani conducted stage shows regularly but it is no known how he would spending his earnings.

While Mukesh has been confirmed as a Left front candidate from Kollam, Jagadeesh and Siddique are contesting from Pathanapuram and Aroor respectively as Congress candidates.

If recent rumours are to be believed, then the fourth member of the gang Asokan is also getting ready to contest as a Left front candidate!

Unni Mukundan denies marriage rumours

Now Unni has clarified in his Facebook page that he is 'not getting married.'
