Kajal Aggarwal, Vikram team up for Garuda

It's finally official!

Vikram will romance Kajal Aggarwal in his next film, Garuda.

This will be the first time that the duo will share screen space.

Interestingly, Kajal was rumored to have been roped in for Anand Shankar’s science fiction Iru Mugan opposite Vikram, but was later replaced by Nayanthara.

Garuda will be directed by Thiru of Naan Sigappu Manithan fame.

The film is an action thriller and will be produced by Silver Lining Film Factory.

According to sources, the team is all set to fly to Oman for the first leg of shooting.

Dhanush starts shooting for Ennai Nokki Paayum Thota

Dhanush is a busy man these days.

He recently wrapped up the shooting for the political drama Kodi with director Durai Senthilkumar.

The National award winning actor is now shooting for Gautham Menon's Ennai Nokki Paayum Thota.

The film went on floors a few days ago and Dhanush confirmed this through his Twitter handle, along with a picture of himself with the director.

Newcomer Megha Akash, who will make her debut in Oru Pakka Kathai, plays the female lead.

The shooting began at an engineering college in Chennai and the team is expected to move to Mumbai for the next schedule.

Counseling Center for Nadigar Sangam members

The suicide of popular television artist Sai Prashanth earlier this week shocked the Tamil television industry.

The young actor was known for his roles in serials like Annamalai, Selvi and Arasi.

Prashant also did small roles in films like Neram, Thegidi and Vadacurry.

Though the exact cause for his suicide is not known, the police suspect depression.

Expressing shock and concern over the rise in incidents of suicide among film and television artists, Nassar, President of the Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artistes' Association) announced that a counseling center will be set up at the association premises.

Speaking at an event in Chennai, the veteran actor emphasized the need for maintaining good mental health.
