There have been quite a number of remakes of Malayalam films in Hindi, the most recent being the blockbuster, Bodyguard, by Siddique.
Director Rajesh Pillai will now remake another Malayalam blockbuster, Traffic, in Hindi.
The next on the list could very well be Blessy's Pranayam, which was released during Onam. The film stars Mohanlal, Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada.
During the film's music launch, both Anupam Kher and Jaya Prada raved about the talented director and said that it was high time the filmmaker set his sights on languages other than Malayalam.
"Yes, we have been holding some discussions on this front (making Pranayam in Hindi). On a personal level, it would be great if Amitabh Bachchan does the role, which was done by Mohanlal in Malayalam. Anupam Kher is in Toronto right now and we will start discussing further on this once he is back," Blessy said.
