As more and more Indians farmers suffering from the twin scrouges of drought and debt are taking their own lives, celebrities urged the government to find a permanent solution to the problems.
Filmmaker Ronnie Screwvala tweeted: 'Between Jan-Mar, farmer suicides in Maharashtra have crossed 30% of our 2014 figures. #farmersuicide -In India we have to find permanent solutions and not always take two steps forward-one step back!!'
