‘Absurd to persecute a celebrity for endorsing a product’

Several celebrities tweeted support to Madhuri Dixit, who recently received a notice from the Haridwar Food and Drug Administration for endorsing the nutritional value of Maggi.

Rishi Kapoor: Think. If @MadhuriDixit is responsible for endorsing a brand not acceptable then by that logic TV Channels, Radio, hoardings are culprits too!

Pooja Bedi : Absurd 2persecute a celebrity for endorsing a product. If FDA has okayed a product why should a celebrity question its authenticity? If a product is okayed by manufacturers and watchdog agencies .... why pounce on a celebrity for their lapses? If I have a great meal at a restaurant and tweet about it.. and someone gets food poisoned there.. should I get sued?

Paresh Rawal: Blaming brand ambassador for Maggi? What about the authority who allowed the sale?

Shobhaa De: I don't get it. So, should movie stars ask for a chemical analysis of products they pose for? Be it paints, noodles, shampoos, detergents, colas?

‘To ideate, to visualise, to decide, to determine nd to execute Bahubali, director needs balls of steel, heart of roses nd mind of conqueror. Watched Bahubali 70 out of 100 international scale nd 500 out of 100 Indian scale. Thanks Rajmouli for pushing and lifting Indian films,’ he added.
