August 04, 2011 13:40 IST

A scene from SoloTelugu actor Nara Rohit, who made his debut in the critically acclaimed Banam (which released in September 2009), took his time to sign his next project.

The nephew of N Chandrababu Naidu, the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Rohit is now busy with Solo, a film directed by Parasuram (of Yuvatha fame) and produced by Vamsikrishna Srinivas.

Mani Sharma composes music for this film which has the rather intriguing tagline 'A Solid Love Story'.

Nisha Agarwal, sister of Singham actress

Kajal Agarwal, plays the lead opposite Rohit.

While Banam, with its Naxal backdrop was a serious film, Solo is being plugged as a commercial entertainer filled with action and romance. Rohit gets to do a very different role from the one he did in Banam.

Others in the cast of Solo include Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Sayaji Shinde (who essayed a wonderful role as the father in Banam), M S Narayana and Ali.

Solo was launched in May and the shoot is almost complete except for a few songs. It is due for release in September.
