Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor reportedly will not romance each other in Rock On 2.
"In fact, they meet only at interval point, and that too over music," says a source. "Shraddha joins the original band members Farhan, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli as a new recruit. Farhan and Shraddha interact over music, and nothing else. There are 10 songs in the film."
Seven years have passed since we first met the characters from Rock On.
Farhan is married to Prachi Desai and they have a seven year old son.
"It's been seven years; all characters are playing their age. All the conflicts are internal; the battles lie within," says director Shujaat Saudagar. "The story continues from where we left off but there will be some new characters."
"Farhan and Shraddha’s characters don’t meet until a certain point in the story. When they do meet, it’s because they are both musicians and it’s music that holds all the protagonists together," he adds. "The essence of the plot is to bring out the dynamics of relationships that people share with each other through life. Human bonds that go beyond romance and love as we traditionally define them."
