Who are the big winners of the night? We tell you!

The 70th annual Emmy Awards saw red carpet magic at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on September 17.

But we sure missed our desi girl Priyanka Chopra, who totally rocked the awards show last year.

The show was hosted by SNL stars Colin Jost and Michael Che.

American actor and comedian Betty Marion White Ludden, known professionally as Betty White, received a standing ovation as she reflected on her seven decade-long career.

The Golden Girls star launched her speech with a joke; 'I'm just going to quit while I'm ahead,' she laughed.

She added, 'Little did I dream then that I would be here. It's incredible that I'm still in this business and you are still putting up with me.'

Continuing to joke, the 'first lady of television' said, 'It's incredible that you can stay in a career this long and still have people put up with you. I wish they did that at home.'

In a career that has spanned more than 75 years, White has received eight Emmy Awards in various categories.

After bagging the Emmy for directing for a Variety Special, American producer and director Glenn Weiss surprised the audience with a marriage proposal to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen, live on stage.

During his acceptance speech, Weiss took a moment to thank Svendsen for being the 'sunshine' of his life and someone his late mother 'adored'.

'You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife,' said Weiss.

After Svendsen joined Weiss on stage, the Emmy winner offered her the ring his father had given his mother over 67 years ago.

'Jan, I want to put this ring that my mom wore on her finger in front of all these people and in front of my mom and your parents watching from above. Will you marry me?' he asked before an emotional Svendsen said, 'Yes'.

The actor cracked a joke that he wrote his speech '43 years ago'.
