Switzerland is passé!

A kimono-clad Asha Parekh romping about Japanese gardens in Love in Tokyo

Sunny Deol’s trip to wild Kenya to fight desi baddies in Vishwatma?

Aishwarya Rai competing with the Seven Wonders of the World in Jeans?

Hrithik Roshan’s action-packed adventures in Zambia and Brazil in Dhoom 2 or gorgeous Spanish vacation in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara?

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s secret rendezvous in Cuba?

Or Saif Ali Khan exploring everything between Morocco, Russia and Latvia in and as Agent Vinod?

Cinema offers a grand escape from reality. And what can be more refreshing than the sight of pretty landscapes, pristine beaches and magnificent architecture in foreign locales?

Filmmakers understood the need to get out of stuffy studios and delight viewers with scenic attractions.

With time, the trend has only gotten bigger, better and so have recce options.

Switzerland is passé, here’s where the hot and happening stars are making their blockbusters.

Tamasha

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone

It’s a given in Imtiaz Ali, his characters love to travel, be it Jab We Met, Highway or Tamasha.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone belong to a theatre troupe, who dance in and about on the French island of Corsica.

Perfect setting for romance, right? Their crackling chemistry points it out vividly.

Dilwale

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol

Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale reuniting Bollywood’s most beloved jodi -- Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol -- is among the year's eagerly anticipated releases. Leaving no stone unturned to live up to the hype, the Chennai Express director has picked unique sites like Bulgaria and Iceland to film songs and scenes.

Farah Khan returns to her choreographer duties for a ‘special’ song shot in Iceland, and it sure looks good in the trailer.

Force 2

John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Bhasin

In the sequel to Nishikanth Kamath’s remake of Tamil hit, Kaakha Kaakha, Abhinay Deo drags his cast of John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Bhasin to Budapest, Hungary.

Interestingly, Budapest is passed off as Italy in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Curiosity is rife for Karan Johar’s next, Aye Dil Hai Mushkil featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.

Housefull 3

Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez and Lisa Haydon

The Housefull franchise is unstoppable.

On their third movie now, the comedy continues its tradition of roping in hourglass hotties as love interests for Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh along side latest addition Abhishek Bachchan.

Meanwhile, its leading ladies Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri are clearly chuffed about the pleasant British autumn weather on the sets of the comedy directed by Sajid-Farhad.
