Can a movie make its lead a better person?

April 23, 2019 13:47 IST

It's been three years since Nil Battey Sannata was released and Swara Bhasker got all nostalgic.

Swara posted heaps of pix and wrote: 'The blessing of acting is that it gives you a chance to live a life you otherwise would never know.'

'Playing Chandaa in #nilbatteysannata made me a better person. And that's probably what they call 'the role of a lifetime.' @ashwinyiyertiwari you and I are bound by this one always! #ThreeYearsOfNilBatteySannata #feelingblessed'.

Nil Battey Sannata was Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's directorial debut. She went on to make Bareilly Ki Barfi, a box office success.

Nil Battey Sannata was remade in Tamil as Amma Kanakku, with Ashwiny returning to direct the film, starring Amala Paul Revathi.

It was also made in Malayalam as Udaharanam Sujatha, starring Manju Warrier, Mamta Mohandas and the incredible Nedumudi Venu, and directed by Phantom Praveen.
