Box Office: Kung Fu Yoga opens poorly

The hits and misses of the week.

The clash between Raees and Kaabil at the box office has affected the performance of both films. They failed to draw in decent collections, except on the national holiday of January 26.

Last week's release Kung Fu Yoga goes unnoticed.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives us the weekly verdict.

 

Kung Fu Yoga

Cast: Jackie Chan, SonuSood, Disha Patani, Amyra Dastur.

Director: Stanley Tong

What works: Jackie Chan.

What doesn't: Lousy acting, bad CGI, terrible dialogues, illogical film.

Number of weeks: New.

BO verdict: Poor.

What works: Hrithik Roshan.

What doesn't: Predictable story, slow first half.

What works: Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

What doesn't: Script and narration doesn't grab you.

BO verdict: Below Average.

What works: Good performances, a few genuinely funny scenes.

What doesn't: Poorly executed, boring music.
