Happy Mahashivratri, folks!

Like every year, Bollywood is celebrating the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. Several stars have wished their fans on social media.

Akshay Kumar, who will next be seen in the period war film Kesari, posted a picture on Instagram and wrote, 'This #MahaShivratri, may Lord Shiva bless you and your family with peace and prosperity #HarHarMahadev.'

Preity Zinta shared an adorable picture of her with hubby Gene Goodenough and wrote on her Insta feed, 'May the essence of Lord Shiva destroy all evil thoughts & negativity from within us and spread love, positivity and happiness within us, our family and our surroundings. A very happy #Mahashivratri to you and your family.'

Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Badla, shared few pictures on his Twitter account, and tweeted, 'Har Har Mahadev.'

Sanjay Dutt tweeted, 'May our soul be enlightened by the blessings of Shiv ji to fight the evil and stand for peace & prosperity! Happy #MahaShivratri to everyone #HarHarMahadev.'

Arjun Rampal posted, 'Om Namah Shivaya. Har Har Mahadev. Jai Shambo. #mahashivratri.'

Shruti Haasan wrote, 'Happy mahashivratri to everyone ! Wishing you positive light , the wisdom to use your obstacles as lessons and the courage to grow to be fearless and filled with a true sense of self.'
