Birthday Special: Katrina Kaif's SEXIEST avatars

Last updated on: July 16, 2015 18:05 IST

Happy birthday, Katrina!

When Katrina Kaif joined Bollywood 12 years ago, she was clueless about showbiz.

She could barely speak Hindi.

And her debut film Boom, though it starred the biggest star in the country, was the year's greatest embarrassment.

Today, she's a A-lister who's worked with all the three Khans -- Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir -- in blockbusters, dubs her own lines, has a Barbie doll modelled after her, has a wax statue of herself at the famed Madame Tussauds and is dating Ranbir Kapoor.

One can argue about her acting talent but there's no denying the woman's charisma and smart career choices -- and that she looks smouldering HOT even when she's selling mango juice!

The Bollywood hottie turns 32 on July 16. Here's a look at 10 of her SEXIEST avatars on screen.

Bang Bang (2014)

When Hrithik Roshan and Katrina teamed up in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, the chemistry set the screen on fire.

Their next Bang Bang, a remake of Hollywood's Knight and Day, was quite a damp squib.

Kat kept her part of the deal, looking sizzling hot, emerging from the ocean in a colour block swimsuit.

Dhoom 3 (2013)

Dhoom franchise is all about hunky villains and their sizzling arm candies.

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan set the bar pretty high (and hot) with her tanned 'n' tantalising turn in the second Dhoom movie, Katrina proved a worthy equal flaunting her "liquid electricity" moves in an fiercely fashionable wardrobe till heads turned, eyes popped and jaws dropped.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)

Every leading lady dreams of being a Yash Chopra heroine. Katrina Kaif's realised when she starred in his final romance, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It's not his best works but reliably presents the actress as a dream.

A rather sensual dream, if we may add.

Ek Tha Tiger (2012)

Who wouldn't go "Mashallah" at a beauty like like that?

Right, Salman?

Agneepath (2012)

One never thought the doe-eyed beauty of films like Sarkar and Humko Deewana Kar Gaye is capable of such in-your-face sexiness as she demonstrates in and as Chikni Chameli in an item number of Agneepath.

It's hangover is unmistakable in Kareena Kapoor's Mera Naam Mary from Brothers, also directed by Karan Malhotra.

Bodyguard (2011)

Katrina's early career benefited an unspoken deal from Salman Khan's support and recommendation.

Doing her bit for the superstar, she pitched in a sultry dance appearance along side the star in Bodyguard's title track.

Like they say in Bollywood. Totally. Paisa. Vasool.

Tees Maar Khan (2010)

Farah Khan's comedy was panned by the critics and audience left, right and centre.

Except Katrina Kaif who wowed the audience with her sexy makeover and sensational belly dancing in the chartbuster, Sheila Ki Jawani.

De Dana Dan (2009)

Whether Kats, draped in a yellow chiffon, is paying a conscious ode to Raveena Tandon's scorching chemistry around Akshay Kumar in Mohra's epic rain ditty Tip Tip Barsa Pani, we don't know.

Does it raise the mercury inside the frame and outside it, it's an emphatic affirmative.

Race (2008)

Katrina slips into super seductress mode for the racy Zara Zara Touch Me number in Race.

It's one of the few memorable things in Abbas-Mustan's twisty tale of deceit and double crossing.

Boom (2003)

Kaizad Gustad's raunchy, bizarre crime caper isn't a movie Katrina is particularly proud of.

Yet the only reason Boom's still rumbling in public memory is her oomph, lots and lots of oomph.
