In a shocking breach of security of the Big Boss house on Saturday night, all four remaining housemates, Raja Chaudhary, Rahul Mahajan, Zulfi Sayed and Ashutosh Kaushik attempted to break out by scaling the wall of the house in a desperate attempt to get dinner.

They were accosted by security guards within minutes of breaking out and were escorted back to the house. The guards and staff monitoring the house were watching the breakout but were unable to stop it, as they cannot enter the house as per the rules.

Sources at Endemol, the producers of the show, say the quartet attempted to break out of the house after Zulfi, the only remaining housemate who can cook, refused to do so.

While rumours swirled that the breakout was publicity gimmick or part of a task assigned to housemates, Endemol's Managing Director (India) Deepak Dhar was quick to dismiss them.

"They must have got bored sitting in the house for nearly three months. They must have lost track of time and be unaware of the scenario outside. This has happened before in Big Brother (the international show from which Big Boss is adapted) in London and Romania."

On being asked what action was being contemplated against the four participants, who are in effect the finalists as the winner will be decided next week, Dhar said, "Because it is an international format, we will discuss the issue with the Endemol international HQ and decide in a couple of days."

"We will also discuss the issue with doctors and psychologists before taking action. You will get your answer in a couple of days, so keep watching the show," Dhar said.

One of the evicted housemates said, "I can comment on this only after I watch the episode. Anything can happen in the Bigg Boss house. This could even be the task given by Bigg Boss."

Another evicted housemate said, "It can be a publicity stunt. Zulfi is a very intelligent guy and he will not do all this especially in the last week."

According to the rules of Bigg Boss if a housemate tries to escape or even seeks a voluntary exit he/she will be punished and forfeit their fees.

Dhar said, "You decide whether it is a publicity stunt or not after watching the footage of the breakout in Monday's episode"
