Ang Lee: Kamal Haasan is an amazing actor

When Hollywood director Ang Lee visited Chennai to promote his film Life of Pi, he was interviewed by a TV channel. And the interviewer was none other than Kamal Haasan.

The interview session was attended by several prominent film makers from the South. Kamal Haasan is a huge fan of Ang Lee's cinema and was thrilled to meet him and discuss his style of filmmaking.

After the interview, Ang Lee said he was happy that Kamal Haasan knew so much about him and his films.

"I am totally stunned by Kamal Haasan's brilliance," said the Taiwanese-born American director of Academy award winning films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain.

"I never thought that he would know so much about me and my films. Inspired would be the word. He is not only an amazing actor but a great human being who knows everything about world class cinema. I am happy to have been interviewed by him," he added.

After the interview, Kamal Haasan took Lee to his office and showed him the trailer of his latest film Viswaroopam.

After watching the trailer, Lee said, "A person who is not aware of the language too can understand the movie. It's totally stunning. I am sure this movie will be a huge hit."
