Winehouse rushed to hospital

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital following an adverse reaction to medication on Monday.

The Rehab star was taken by an ambulance from her home to University College Hospital in Bloomsbury.

'Please be advised that Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital,' E! Online quoted her rep Tracey Miller, as saying.

'Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow,' she added.

According to SplashNewsOnline, eyewitnesses said that the 24-year-old singer was escorted from the premises in a wheelchair.

Winehouse's father Mitch told fans: 'She's just mixed up her medication,' reports the Sun.

Winehouse's rep, also clarified her father's initial remarks that the songtress was suffering from emphysema, insisting that the Grammy winner was showing early stage symptoms of the chronic respiratory disease.
