Shah Rukh Khan is not the only one benefitting from Om Shanti Om. Akshay Kumar has a lot to thank the film too.
After all, OSO gave him the idea to make a film called Return To Khiladi, and the actor has actually decided to register the title.
Confused? Let us clear the air: In OSO, Akshay is shown to be one of the nominees for a best actor award for a film called Return To Khiladi, competing against Om Kapoor (played by SRK).
Playing a cop in the movie within the movie, Akki fights the baddies with style, bringing a lot of laughs. He loses the award to Om Kapoor, and does not take the failure too kindly.

The film's director and cast have not been finalised yet.
Akshay's Khiladi series changed the life of Rajeev Bhatia, and Akshay Kumar the star was born. The first film, Khiladi, was directed by Abbas-Mastan. It was Akshay's fourth film, and gave his career a much-needed boost. Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi, Mr And Mrs Khiladi and International Khiladi followed.
It seems that Akshay wants to take a break from comedy and return to his action roots with Return To Khiladi.
