Akshay Kumar is likely the most fearless star currently in Bollywood.

He doesn't look anxiously over his shoulder unlike many others.

In 2018, Akshay postponed Padman's release to give Padmaavat an unobstructed run at the box office.

S S Rajamouli's RRR is angling for a solo release on Eid 2020, but Akshay's Sooryavanshi is scheduled to release at the same time.

Sooryavanshi is one more episode in Rohit Shetty's mega cop series, this time with Akshay playing policeman.

Karan Johar, who is producing Sooryavanshi and has grown close to Rajamouli, is being requested to reconsider the release date.

But Akshay is unlikely to budge, and here's why.

"There is no competition between a film bringing together the deadly combo of Akshay and Rohit Shetty, and a film by Rajamouli," a source tells Subhash K Jha, adding, "Not everything Rajamouli makes would have the universal appeal of Baahubali."

Rajamouli, for those who have just returned to our planet, directed the Baahubali blockblockbusters.

RRR features Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in addition to Telugu stars NTR Jr and Ram Charan Teja.

More Bollywood stars may also sign up for RRR -- Sanjay Dutt and Varun Dhawan have apparently been sounded out.

Clearly, Rajamouli wants to make a film that appeals to Hindi speaking audiences as well.
