Mithunda to rock TV!

The king of disco is back � this time on television.

Mithun Chakraborty will be seen in a new dance reality show, Dance India Dance on Zee TV. The National Award-winning actor will be the grand master of the show. Currently, the actor is the judge of another dance reality show, Dance Bangla Dance.

Dance India Dance will have 18 participants and three judges -- choreographers Geeta Kapur, Remo D'Souza and Terrence Lewis. Jay Bhanushali and radio jockey Tarana Raja are the hosts.
 
Talking about the show, Mithun said, "I want to make it clear that it's not a reality show for me. It's the search of a star that will make him/her from nobody to somebody."

When asked if viewers can expect disco dancing in Dance India Dance, he said, "It's not only about disco dance but yes you will see disco dance."

About the judging criteria, he said, "I will look at the X-factor and there will be no favouritism. The public vote and my decision will finally decide the winner. The winner will get a contract of Rs 50 lakh with Zee TV."

Asked why it took so long to come on national television, he said, "I am not a person who will do anything and everything. I will do something which will give me a kick".

When asked to comment on why everyone wants to see him in a character role, pat comes the reply, "After buying a share you enjoy the dividends. Likewise I have enjoyed my stardom and maha-stardom. Now I am enjoying its dividend."
