The hottest summer release in Malayalam
Coming to the film's heroine, Kaniha, an engineer from BITS, Pilani made her debut in Susi Ganesan's Tamil film Five Star.
She has earlier acted in the Malayalam film Ennittum and also in the forthcoming film Pazhassi Raja also in Malayalam. Kaniha got married recently and is now settled in the US.
Speaking about Bhagyadevatha, she says that "this offer came to me just by chance. I feel that the schedules in Malayalam are perfect as they are short and I can manage my home in the US more easily. My husband is a sweetheart and it is thanks to his attitude that I can manage my career in films and home equally well."
