Saif apologies to the media rediff Entertainment Bureau | September 29, 2008 19:28 IST
Saif Ali Khan has issued an apology for his spat with the media on the sets of his yet-untitled film in Patiala, Punjab, on Sunday. "I was not present at the time of the incident so I don't know the details. But as a producer, and on behalf of our company Illuminati films, I would like to apologise on behalf of our security for any inconvenience caused to the local press," Saif said. On Sunday, when Saif was shooting for the said film with director Imtiyaz Ali of Jab We Met [Images] fame, photo journalists started clicking pictures, and some television news channels started filming the shoot. This angered Saif and the production team and they strongly objected. Saif's security then allegedly snatched the cameras. The actor and his team then lodged a complaint against the journalists at the Patiala railway police station. Soon after that, several mediapersons assembled on Mall Road and demanded action against Saif. "Shooting can get pretty chaotic and crowded in small towns and some pushing and shoving normally happens. It happens all the time. So if anyone has been offended, I would like to apologise to them personally and also on behalf of our production," Saif said. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
