Feeding the Hollywood obsession

The first gangster film, called The Musketeers of Pig Alley, hit theatres on October 31, 1912.

Directed by the legendary DW Griffith, the film tracked the career of a gangster nicknamed Snapper Kid. And, with this, the Hollywood obsession with gangster flicks was born.
