Exclusive: Lal Jose's Tamil debut

Mazhai Varapoguthu, which is about rains or rather the lack of it, is set in a village in southern Tamil Nadu. "Mazhai Varapoguthu is the tale of a village which thrives on the rains, which comes four months every year. The villagers virtually live for those four golden months. Their main source of income is agriculture and soon after the rains, the men folk leave the village and their families behind. Life is quite different from the rest of the world in this part of the globe and this film is about such a village," Lal Jose says.
