Australian actor Heath Ledger is no more. The actor was found dead on January 22 at his Manhattan home. He was only 28.

In his short but promising career, Ledger's talent was evident and this was recognised when he won an Oscar nomination for his moving portrayal of a cowboy coming to grips with his sexuality in the critically acclaimed movie, Brokeback Mountain.

This year would have seen a very different looking Heath, in his scary Joker avatar in the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight. But for his untimely death, we could have possibly seen more award-winning performances from this young talent.
