Hum Aapke Hai Koun sequel to be made?

Gullu Gupshup | April 22, 2008 15:56 IST

The sequel bug seems to have bitten Sooraj Barjatya.

According to sources, the filmmaker may make a sequel to his huge blockbuster, Hum Aapke Hai Koun...?

HAHK, starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit [Images], had made history when it ran for more than five years in theatres, and is one of the biggest hits Hindi cinema has ever produced.

Barjatya seems to have roped in Salman for the sequel already, and the actor is quite pleased to star in it. After all, Salman has always said that he could never say no to a Rajshri production because the Barjatyas were the first to give him a break as a hero in Maine Pyaar Kiya. The film went on to become one of Salman's big hits, and made him a star overnight.

The HAHK sequel will also star the Vivah [Images] couple, Shahid Kapoor [Images] and Amrita Rao [Images].

Madhuri has been offered a role in the film too but it is unclear whether the actress will take it up.
