Can Spider-Man beat Krrish?

It's Spider-Time.

While breaking records globally, Spider-Man 3 has set the Indian box office buzzing with a massive opening response -- as good as Krrish and Dhoom 2 enjoyed. Now playing in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu besides English, the film is doing well all over India.

Director Gautam Ghosh's Yatra seems to have come about three decades too late as the audience today have no taste for dull fare with no entertainment or light moments. A damp squib at the box office.

Trade pundit Vinod Mirani delivers his verdict on the box-office fate of the films.

Note: Films are ranked according to their release dates. The thumbs ups and downs reflect rediff's views.
