For Bollywood, 'item numbers' have become a must. So much so, that some such numbers are more famous than the movies they add sizzle to!

And gone are the days when we would have people like Bindu [Images] and Helen dancing provocatively. Now, we our leading ladies doing item numbers, at times their role in a movie is limited to just a song.

This year too, we had item numbers -- Mallika Sherawat [Images] flaunting her curves in Maiya Maiya from Guru and Mehbooba from Aap Kaa Surroor. It's rocking from Kya Love Story Hai featured Kareena Kapoor [Images], while Mehbooba in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag saw Urmila Matondkar [Images] sending temperatures soaring.
