'I don't like to repeat myself'

So what kind of movies interest Aamir Khan?

"I love anything that has to do with the positive side of the human spirit," he answers. "I am hooked to anything that is well written and deals with the theme of rising above ourselves."

Taare Zameen Par tells the story of a child who is dyslexic, but rises up beyond his problems.

How does he feel when a film like Mangal Pandey doesn't do well at the box-office?

"It wasn't that it was unseen," he replies. "It had a fantastic opening. Many liked it and many did not. But I will continue liking it. If you were to ask me if I still believe that films like Mangal Pandey be made, I will say yes."

"Even when a film becomes a hit, I will fight hard not to be tempted to do another film like that," he adds. "There won't be another Rang De Basanti for me."
