Elvises pay tribute to The King

Known only as Elvis, one of the most popular impersonators is pictured here, performing in London's Palladium theatre on August 12.

Born on January 8, 1935, Elvis' premature, drug-and-cholesterol induced death at 42 shocked the world -- but left shockwaves throughout pop culture. Nothing was the same after Elvis happened. 'Nothing really affected me until I heard Elvis. If there hadn't been an Elvis, there wouldn't have been a Beatles,' said John Lennon.
