Novelist Salman Rushdie and his wife Padma Lakshmi might not have said it out loud in as many words, but they clearly seemed to be giving the media a message.

There has been some speculation in the press -- both Indian and international -- that the author's marriage to the model/actress/celebrity chef could be on the rocks.

But as can be inferred from this photograph taken at the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan on Tuesday, the couple seems to be doing okay.

Recent media reports talk about the couple attending film screenings -- Rushdie was apparently intrigued by Sofia Coppola's latest Marie Antoinette -- and hobnobbing merrily around New York.

So it seems that even if there was a storm in this teacup at some point, it's likely to have blown over by now.
