Finally, the disclaimer battle is over.

After much debate, Sony Pictures Releasing India has decided to give in and run the legal card provided by the Censor Board for 15 seconds before and after The Da Vinci Code. It reads: "The characters and incidents portrayed and the names herein are fictitious, and any similarity to the name, character or history of any person is entirely coincidental and unintentional".

Complete Coverage: The Da Vinci Code

The film, rated A and without any scenes cut, releases in India on Friday, May 26.

Currently enjoying a phenomenal opening worldwide, its Indian release is sure to make the other two Friday releases -- Fanaa and X-Men: The Last Stand -- considerably nervous about their multiplex hopes.

What will you watch: Fanaa or Da Vinci Code?
