This year, the Cannes [Images] competition is interesting and eclectic. But no Indian films are in the fray.

The Jagmohan Mundhra film Provoked, starring Aishwarya [Images] and Nandita Das, will be screened out of competition.

Other Indian stars at Cannes -- strictly on promotional trips for their movies -- include Karan Johar [Images], Preity Zinta [Images] and Ajay Devgan [Images].
