First look: Air Supply in India

Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply

Arindam Chaudhuri's Planmanlife, which brought Michael Learns To Rock to India a year ago, is back with Air Supply!

Seen here in a pic taken in New Delhi, British guitarist/singer Graham Russell (in pink) met Australian singer Russell Hitchcock (in the black Beatles t-shirt) when performing in an Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar.

Calling themselves Air Supply since, the band hit peak in the early 1980s, and established a fan base touring the world. After a 1995 cover of the Righteous Brothers' Unchained Melody, the duo discovered stardom in South-East Asia.

This year, they released an acoustic album, The Singer and the Song, and are readying for their first studio album in three years, Zed.

But before that comes up, they are in India, performing in Delhi (May 11), Bangalore (May 12) and Shillong (May 14).
