Light a lamp with Urmila

BanarasUrmila fans, rejoice.

The actress is back and looking terrific in Pankuj Parashar's upcoming film, Banaras - A Mystic Love Story.

The Chalbaaz director has crafted a love story with a spiritual backdrop. Shot in Varanasi over 45 days, Parashar says the new film "does not fit into a genre."

The film also stars Ashmit Patel, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia. Parashar aims to introduce a young Indian audience to the glorious wonders of the holy city.

The film's music is by Himesh Reshammiya, and Banaras is scheduled to hit theatres on April 7.

Meanwhile, the film's official web site has a 'diya' feature, wherein you can make a wish and float a lamp on the Ganga, virtually.

The film's makers assure that they will, in turn, perform a real puja in your name at the Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi.

We can just pray the film is as original as that idea.
